What do you think about playing HD videos in this mobile? I want to play the music on my phone in my car or any other player using the 3. Is there some other settings for the music or some problem with my phone. I know that I am running the stock os on my phone though. Ive downloaded busybox and Samsung Galaxy unlock as well. Are they good apps? Also do I need any drivers? Where do I look in the info you sent me for the link sorry if it seems like I'm asking dumb questions All you have to do my friend is refer to the bible in the dev section.
Once you finish reading the bible, you'll be able to do all that stuff blindfolded. If you have trouble with your drivers you can download Kies Mini off of Samsungs site and Kies will install the right drivers for your phone.
Need some help!! Ok ok.. I have been reading on different forms n I'm a lil confused.. I have a samsung vibrant with 2. Ive been reading that I can just use superoneclick n it wld work fine but then ive been reading that I need to convert back to 2e.. If someone can please jyst tell me what to do or point me in the right direction that'll be great..
Send me a link to were I need to go wld be great as well.. I hope I put this in the right section if not sorry.. But all I want to do is root the phone..
I had a mytouch 3g before n it was so easy to root wish it was the same for my vibrant.. It's written for KA6, but it should also apply for KB5. Or go to the Noob guide in the general section by Sn It has all the ways in there One thing to mention though.
The Blockbuster app detects root and wont allow content to be purchased because of DRM concerns. I dont know if this will be a problem with future apps. I rooted my Atrix with "gladroot" last night. Can't wait to customize it now. Thank you very much for your valid inputs everyone!!! Related [Q] Tethering to a nonrooted phone Sorry for the what seems like a basic question but didn't find this in my search of the forums.
I have a non-rooted Evo that unfortunately I am not allowed to root. Anyone know of a way to use something similar to PDANet to tether to the gtablet?
I would think there would be some way to get this done but am not having luck finding it. Thanks in advance. Is there really no way to do this? I'm curious, why can't you root? I can run PDAnet on the phone Its an Evo Thanks for trying. I think Tether. Always worked great on my blackberry. Not sure if it will wifi tether or need program on the receiving device though. Simple answer is root your phone and use Wifi Tether. Rooting is out for me on this phone so oh well.
Looked at this In this case I was trying to link an android to an android. I'll keep looking. Rooting does nothing to the phone that affects how it works. But rooting does allow for using ROMs. Well it makes no difference. This wasn't particularly helpful. I don't believe there is a way to tether android to android without being able to manipulate non-userspace aka superuser access.
I'll do some footwork for you, but to my knowledge I don't believe you can. I wish I could be more helpful. I've been scouring all the resources I could find.
What about a soft root? That is a method of rooting that is not permanent, and will go away every time you reboot your phone. Would that be something you could do? To keep apps in check, I always used xposed plus xprivacy or LBE. Today, I am totally aware my Note4 is totally outdated but I really got used to being able to deny data and maybe more importantly network access to any app at will.
I have been keeping to use my old phone because whenever I looked for viable app-fencing solutions on the current android versions, everything seemed very volatile and unstable. Recently my company gave me a Note8 and although I am not a big friend of the modern "glass brick" design trend at all, it is hard to ignore the advances in terms of hardware power and that my trusty old Note begins to be unable to execute certain new apps.
I presume most of you are using current Android versions. So I'd like to ask you which solutions are you using to prevent unwanted data and privacy drain on your devices. I my dreams I would continue to be able to willingly decide whether any app may be allowed to use either Wifi or mobile networks bonus prize: depending on if the app is in foreground or not , be able to suppress advertising extensions in apps and deny access to privacy-related data like position, unique IDs and contact database.
Which solutions would I use to achieve as many of these goals as possible on Android 7 or even 8? Maybe even some without rooting? Thank you very much for you suggestions and input.. Much of that is backed right into nougat and Oreo.
Many permissions can be denied depending on the app developers. Root on the newer samsungs seems to be problematic.
We are together in this! I am exactly the same on my Motorola x play! Been using xprivacy and xposed too for ages on all apps, plus a firewall too. Give a look at f-droid app store and xposed itself, on the download tab. Haven't tested out yet, but seems to be more or less the same, judging by what I read. Give a look at a good firewall, to block rogue internet access for all the nasty apps out there. Anything just give me a shout. It's good to know I am not alone!
